Faces new and old ..well fifty plus

It is good to see some new faces as well as the regulars at the last working fifty plus meeting.

I think the committee should be congratulated for the excellent work in obtaining the funding, organising guest speakers and doing the tasks that have to be done to make the meetings successful. I know at times we seem to be making slow progress and always on the lookout for new ideas, but this organisation has the potential to take the horrors out of being unemployed and supporting those who wish to return to the labour market and providing a meeting place for those to share their own perspective on how they survive the system and maintain self esteem and preserve their dignity by never letting go of their potential.

I have heard comments on how visitors from the third sector, public and private sector representatives who like to come and give talks are enjoying the challenge in answering the probing questions from the group.

If anyone reading this has not yet been along, I’m sure the three main committee members would be pleased to meet you
